This week, Ricklyn chats with Khalilah Olokunola, Chief People Officer for TRU Colors, a for-profit company with a social mission to unite gang rivals. In her current role as an HR Executive that began training active gang members, she understands the importance of building the right culture & systems for a sustainable organization, She is also a passionate advocate for workplace diversity, inclusion, and second-chance hiring. Khalilah learned about life & leadership growing up in the streets of Brooklyn, NY before attending college both in NYC & NC. She has also completed open coursework at M.I.T uLab & Harvard University on Entrepreneurship, Leading from the Emerging Future & Deliberations of Social Change. She holds additional certifications in Strategic HR | Workforce development & Peer Counseling. Khalilah has spoken across the country for conferences, companies & schools.
